First, the mandatory disclaimer:
I've been told I am sometimes harsh on my comments. Keep in mind I LOVE playmobil. It is GREAT. Without a doubt and by FAR, the GREATEST toy on the Universe. And also keep in mind that I've gotten a box (or two) of each boys and girls since the first series - meaning, despite all the "problems" I point out, they are VERY MUCH WORTH IT. We ALL know playmobil rules, so I suppose I tend to point out the problems. There are only so many ways of saying AWESOME, right?

The boxes have new pretty insert cutouts . They're really nice, and great improvement to the boring plain ones we were getting lately. The boxes themselves are also prettier, though they don't have any klickys (as they used to).

From the first pics, two.. no, three things jumped out: the russian hat in black dark brown , the long rubbery red hair and, of course, the bagpipes...

No fat guys, two speedos in the boys, and three in the girls... And no full diapers .

The packs..

There's a new pic in the back... some sort of instructions? What kind of idiots do they think buy these? Or am I missing something?

And the leaflets.. a new version. Much worse.

These are.. well... how do I put this... lousy . Now the figures are reduced to little thumbnails... To make the instructions bigger? WHY?! Do they assume people who buy these (besides idiots) are half blind?

Also, the neckpiece shown on the girls instructions doesn't exist, and.. square belts!? Who made those drawerings?

The reverse shows the usual freaks... They'd be better off using the full front for the figures, and split these freak combinations with the instructions

Also, when folded, you can only easily tell them apart from the color of the series number... WHY?

There are no rubber bands on the boys, only on the girls...

There were issues though... as usual lately.

One pirate was missing a bracelet. And a fairy was missing an arrow. More serious, one of the divers had no fins. I mean, she had two legs, but zero fins. Kinda defeats the purpose, right?

Then there was this arm, in one of the ladies:

This is a very common mismold. The difference is, ten years ago, these rarely made it to the actual boxes. Now.. well, let's say it's not rare. For me (today), it's not a real issue. I went to the indian-naked-no-wrist-arms box/zipper and found another. But...

It's a shame that this happens so often now, and that it doesn't seem to bother them. Or they'd have done something to fix it, I assume. Worse, I think it likely that the figures often are someone's first playmo-contact... A person buys one bag for the kid to shut up. It's missing a frame, or has a bad arm, or has no fins.. This leads to disappointment and maybe a (very justified) tantrum. "What a piece of junk", the person will (wrongly) assume. And never look into playmobil again.

Anyways.. on the flipside, one knight (Boys) had 3 legs. And a vampire had 3 rats!

In all, there were these extras:

The rats are a highlight, of course. Then those green neckpieces, the black bracers and the black hat are awesome. The fancy necklace and the pinkish plates are great too. The flower for the hat can be quite useful as well. THAT hair... not so much

Well, you know how it works: follow all the pages to see everything, or use these shortcuts for a specific figure:
