First, the mandatory disclaimer:
I've been told I am sometimes harsh on my comments. Keep in mind I LOVE playmobil. It is GREAT. Without a doubt and by FAR, the GREATEST toy on the Universe. And also keep in mind that I've gotten a box (or two) of each boys and girls since the first series - meaning, despite all the "problems" I point out, they are VERY MUCH WORTH IT. We ALL know playmobil rules, so I suppose I tend to point out the problems. There are only so many ways of saying AWESOME, right?

This one looked like a strong series from the start, with the maori, merman, gladiator and judge standing out in the boys, and the doe, bee, mermaid and eskimo in the girls. That's a lot of "standing out"!

The boxes mention the new app... more on that later.

The leaflets are even lamer than usual, marred with outlines selecting parts for the usual weirdos.

That said, the one messing up the mermaid could be deemed useful, since it is a big surprise that there is a mermaid there... at least it was to me - a good surprise!

The Cartoonist (Girls) seems to have her drawing upside down.

The relevant part of the leaflets doesn't even feature the series and set numbers. How nice. This is not handy at all. The +5 from before is now 5-10. I'm waaaaaaaaaay out of this new range.

The other side of the leaflet is where they put the series and ref numbers...

In front of the ref there's a letter - different ones, matching the figure the code gives access to (read on...), as far as I could tell. Unfortunately, I only noticed this AFTER having them all together.

Besides those bits of relevant info, it is completely taken over by HUGE half pointless instructions (they are for normal klickys) and another HUGE promo for the app. Yes, there is an app.

Why? No idea.

But I just had to . And since it was getting long..ish (I blab), I decided to put the app part in another page.

Warning: App content WILL be revealed. Just sayin'.

With that in mind, app comments here: Fi¿ures App

Anyways...

Some different skintones here - a big plus. I suppose it may be limiting if you only have some figures to mess with...

No fat bodies in either, two speedos on the boys and seven (SEVEN!) on the girls. That's.. many. Too many.

One full-diaper klicky, on the girls. Agh.

Stickers present for one figure each: Detective (Boys) and Pizza Maker (Girls).

Only rubberbands on the Maori Warrior (Boys)... Gods know why.

All the speedo skirts except the large one came assembled.

Suprisingly, both the merman and the eskimo's legs came unassembled.

Extras, nothing to write home about...

... though the feathers are very beautiful

I was momentarily excited over the second baggy black arm, but they are both from the same side The idea of left+right arms is really not great.

Since a lot of the extras are speedo arms, their usefulness is kinda limited. Is this a good place? YES. The fact that speedo arms are gendered is completelty annoying. (no, not over it )

Had an odd little bit in both boys and girls ... and note the mandatory frame!

As has become usual lately, there were problems.. The most serious is a misprinted face on the Spa Goer... There is also a mismolded machine gun on the Jewel Robber and a misprinted torso on the Steampunk.

Well, you know how it works: follow all the pages to see everything, or use these shortcuts for a specific figure:
