First, the mandatory disclaimer:
I've been told I am sometimes harsh on my comments. Keep in mind I LOVE playmobil. It is GREAT. Without a doubt and by FAR, the GREATEST toy on the Universe. And also keep in mind that I've bought these (they are not sent for free for review!) - meaning, despite all the "problems" I point out, they are VERY MUCH WORTH IT. We ALL know playmobil rules, so I suppose I tend to point out the problems. There are only so many ways of saying AWESOME, right?

There are some great designs among these, though Robotitron and Del are serious disappointments. The robot because he is almost the same as an old one - could they not make a new color? or mold? As to Del... a very familiar looking klicky, I am not sure about the printing on the shorts, but that alone (and the head!) is not enough to make him stand apart, and since one of the look-alikes was even part of the game that was a gift from DS... lets say he is.. common.

The heads do stand out.. I mean the faces... VERY interesting, except.. why are they all crosseyed? I like most of them (variety and all ), but that feature spoils them some.

Of note - no speedos in the series... but then there's a robot.. Number of compatible parts = 0. Very odd.

And there are only two women (not good), and.. no knight (uncommon).

Regardless, loads of new parts, amazing colors.... Win.

I suppose all of them will be kept original.. I guess.

The pack:

As to the leaflet, there are two versions:

The robot's leaflet is different - I was wondering about that - it is not that straightforward to put him together, I think.

I have an issue with the order of the figures in the leaflet - why isn't Marla #1, instead of a beautiful but unnamed "yellow viking"? And the robot should probably come at #5 (this before watching the movie..)

Now... the other side advertises the sticker album:

It gets interesting where it is available though..

In german and spanish - in toystores. In english, in all good toy stockists (odd expression, imo). In french, in most toystores. In dutch and italian, I think it's in the best toystores. In greek (thanks to a greek friend), in all up to date sale points. In polish, in selected stores (I think). Ok.

Now then, in portuguese... whatever it is, it's available in all toy stores. Unfortunately, the sentence is.. weird. It says "the free sticker sheet includes a poster, is available in all toy stores". Doesn't mention any "sticker album".. If we didn't know better, we'd think there were more stickers to be had at all toy stores, right?

playmobil really needs to understand that portuguese is not spanish (after that, we can work the differences between pt-pt and pt-br). I find it insulting, really.

Anyway... if they need help translating, they can pay me in kind .

This time, only Marla had rubberbands (gods know why.. maybe), so, total:

And the extra parts:

Yay! I will be able to put wheels on a wheel-less old robot a friend gave me

And that arm with the print! . Nice pale blonde hair+beard too.

This time, most prints are nice and crisp.

Unfortunately, there were problems...

There were missing parts: a knife in the first Marla - it was an odd count: 2 spoons, 2 forks, 1 knife. See, even with the extra bag :

And a pair of Del's slippers were missing too. Not good. At all.

Fortunately, neither are must haves. Knives and slippers are not lacking around playkingdoms. Still, not supposed to happen, right?

And one of the leaflets was all mangled - if this happened when I was a cub (or if it was my only one), I'd be really upset.

And then there were a couple with the colors off - this is the more radical one:

The oddest: one of the romans had a non-figure head! I was gonna pop him during the review pics to show him without belt.. but wasn't going well.. finally I realized what the problem was:

Not really an issue here, just a short trip to the popper, but a casual buyer could be less thrilled - if said person even understood what was wrong...

Here are all the series' stickers...

Well, you know how it works: follow all the pages to see everything, or use these shortcuts for a specific figure:
